In the customer's Beijing circuit board production line, there is a link to manually scan the bar code. The workers in the circuit board factory need to scan the barcodes on the two circuit boards within 20 to 30 seconds. The barcode is then entered into the system for testing. Due to the slow manual scanning, the subsequent system testing time was delayed, which made the entire assembly line inefficient. Customers began to consider using barcode readers for machine scanning.
The vision system has entered the customer's sight with its advantages of large reading area of the subject, low shooting angle requirement and strong input and output capabilities. On the customer's production line, the barcode is hung on the circuit board with two wires at a 30-degree angle. Similar code readers cannot perform accurate reading due to relatively high requirements for reading distance. And Cognex products can meet the needs of customers.
After being installed on 4 production lines on a trial basis, it replaced the manual scanning station and increased the automation of the circuit board production line. The output increased by 20%-30%. The customer considers the application of vision products on the rest of the circuit board production line. .
